Our Approach to Healing
I wanted to share a bit about my approach, because finding the right fit in therapy is so important!
My approach to therapy is that I deeply believe in keeping it human, trauma-informed and connected. I want you to feel safe to show up exactly as you are, with all the complexity, uncertainty, and strength you bring.
I believe that understanding the nervous system, how we respond to stress, and how we carry experiences in our bodies can be incredibly powerful. At the same time, I honour the fullness of the human experience including the joy, the curiosity, the messiness, the beauty. Therapy is a place to explore all of experience without judgment.
I love supporting people as they get to know themselves, their parts, and their patterns. Sometimes that looks like sitting with hard emotions, other times it’s noticing small shifts, or finding ways to make peace with parts of yourself that feel stuck or unseen. I believe every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and find more ease in their life, and I consider it an honor to walk alongside someone in that process.
I also think therapy should feel real, be tailored to you and be human. We’ll do the work, but there will also be laughter, curiosity, and moments of lightness. I want our sessions to feel like a safe haven in the world. A place where you can be heard fully, and supported, and where you will be met with compassion.
I work best with clients who are ready to learn more themselves and are open to IFS-informed care, EMDR care, and have a natural curiousity about themselves in connection to the world around them.

Learn more about EMDR Therapy here:
EMDR, or Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is a therapy that helps your brain process difficult or traumatic experiences. Sometimes memories get “stuck,” causing stress, anxiety, or old pain to linger. EMDR helps those memories feel less overwhelming and easier to manage.
In sessions, you’ll focus on a target memory or sensation while following gentle side-to-side eye movements, taps, or sounds. This helps your brain safely work through the memory. Over time, the emotions around it often soften, and you may gain new insights or feel more in control.
EMDR can help with trauma, anxiety, phobias, and other challenging experiences. You don’t need to relive every detail—just show up, and your brain does much of the work while you’re supported and safe.
How I Help You
The Types of Therapy I offer to Help & Guide Your Journey
IFS-Informed Therapy
Kind-Natured Psychotherapy utilizes IFS-informed care. This therapeutic style works to accept, understand and build harmony between all the parts of self. If you are curious about “parts” and what that means, consider this example: a part of you may want to start therapy and another part of you is nervous or unsure. Each part serves you, but has a different method for keeping you safe and a history attached of where it learnt to keep you safe that way.
IFS-informed care leaves enough room for complexity and different layers of self, welcoming all of you. Why I love this approach? This approach supports a compassionate, loving and curious stance with the inner world to promote harmony within, honour protective parts of you/their history AND strengthen inner voice.
Attachment Focused
At Kind-Natured Psychotherapy uses attachment theory to understand our experience in relation to others. We take a trauma informed approach to attachment, and the wounds that may arise in attachment. We honour our personal ecosystem by considering important attachments, our protective patterns in attachment and relational history to broaden our understanding of self and challenge old patterns. In our work we can aim to support new patterns toward secure engagement with the world around us through a somatic and trauma-informed lens.
EMDR
At Kind-Natured Psychotherapy, I offer trauma-informed EMDR therapy for adults who want to understand their experiences more deeply and move beyond patterns shaped by trauma, attachment wounds, anxiety, or phobias.
EMDR works with the wisdom of the nervous system, helping experiences that are stuck in survival mode finally move and integrate. I love EMDR because it supports healing on both a somatic and emotional level, allowing space for new meaning, self-compassion, and empowerment. My work blends EMDR with IFS-informed care, honouring your inner world and your pace.
Eco Somatic – Informed Lens
Kind-Natured Psychotherapy deeply believes in nature’s importance supporting mental health and our nervous system. In addition, how central our body and the information it provides is to our care. Kind-Natured Psychotherapy welcomes in nature as a powerful regulator and uses it’s teachings in our analogies, somatic regulation, connection and intention.
Andy Goldsworthy said it best “We often forget that we are nature. Nature is not something separate from us. So when we say that we have lost our connection to nature, we’ve lost our connection to ourselves.
